An important religious katsina ceremony takes place once a year at Zuni Pueblo in which Shalako makes an appearance. A beloved messenger from the Rain Gods, Shalako stands ten feet tall. Ronnie Cachini has hand-painted with colorful acrylic paints on sandstone, a depiction of this ceremony. It is resting permanently on a base of azurite with wood.
