Botswana agate is a rare chalcedony mineral from the Bobonong district of Botswana, Africa. It formed long ago from volcanic lava activity. It’s hard to come by and is beloved for lovely grey hues. Used throughout time in intaglio carvings and jewelry, it’s thought to improve mental acuity. Brian Yatsattie’s approximately 1 3/4″ long, 1 1/2″ wide and 3/4″ tall Frog has been brought forth from a soothing portion of Botswana agate.
