Owls have mastered a nighttime landscape that we have not. In Zuni Pueblo traditional ways, an owl is called The Night Grandfather. These important and amazing raptors were once seen by others as dangerous omens but are in fact vital birds that keep other animal and rodent populations under control. They work as productive forces of nature that sustain human life.
