A spirited Badger by Daphne and Leland Boone is carved from an amazing piece of bowlerite which is an upcycled material from bowling balls. An etched tail, an iridescent mother-of-pearl point with turquoise beads in the offering bundle and determined eyes from turquoise inlays are fine additions to this approximately 2 1/2″ long, 1 3/4″ wide and 1 1/8″ tall beneath the ground creature. Badgers are regarded as healing animals to the A:Shiwi (The People) because they have a knowledge of the medicinal plants and roots they live among.
