Since 1981 Keshi has maintained personal relationships with the individual artists of Zuni Pueblo from whom we buy directly. When you shop you’re supporting an Indigenous artist like Sandra Quandelacy who sets her own wholesale prices in keeping with our standards of supporting and promoting equitable treatment of artists. Her carved orange spiny oyster shell lightweight earrings honor the unity and oneness of Corn-Maiden and Grandmother in feminine strength and wisdom. The Corn Maidens have etched corn bodies embellished with sky blue turquoise pieces. Incised facial details are filled with jet paste, as are the star elements on their traditional clothing. Including hooks, measurements are approximately 2 1/4″ long, 3/8″ wide and 1/4″ deep.
