Badgers have a reputation of steadfastness and courage. By owning a carving such as this wonderful onyx one by Adrian Cachini, we can summon our own similar attributes. A technique of ornamentation called sgraffito has been applied revealing nice contrasting color. Some of the design elements include florets, feathers and even a badger track on the underside. Accent inlays are from turquoise, while turquoise eyes tell of a determined spirit in this roughly 2 3/4″ long, 1 1/4″ wide and 5/8″ tall burrowing mammal.
