The Chasing Star katsina is sometimes referred to as the Planet or Meteor katsina associated with planetary doings. Adrian Leon’s small-scale Hopi Chasing Star katsina doll is about 2 1/2″ tall, 1 1/2″ wide and 1 1/4″ deep, measurements include the base. It is hand-carved from cottonwood and painted with colorful acrylic paints. He also included cactus spine, pipe cleaner, feathers, cloth and yarn details to this fine woodwork. Signed by the artist.
