Indigenous Coastal tribes revere reefs as sacred breathing entities with life force residing within the corals themselves that must be protected. Daphne and Leland Boone’s fish friend has horizontally layered hues such as yellow, pink, turquoise, red and purple within the upcycled surfite. The colors and patterns help break up the fish’s shape enabling perfect camouflage among the reef. Surfite is a by-product from surfboard manufacturing. Turquoise inlaid eyes are on the lookout for a mate in the underwater ecosystem. About 2 1/2″ long, 5/8″ wide and 1 3/4″ tall.
