A new painting by Anthony Gchachu, titled “Hidden Stars”. The night sky is blanketed high above by clouds, obscuring the starts, as sacred Sha’lak’os, spiritual beings central to Zuni culture, travel along accompanied by blanketed elders. The figures are highlighted against the dark blue sky, almost glowing. The vibrant painting of acrylic on canvas measures 8″ x 10″, while the floating matte black wood frame measures approximately 9 1/2″ wide, 11 1/2″ high by 2″ deep.The canvas is signed, dated and labeled on the reverse.
