Freddie Leekya’s leaf necklaceis carved from gorgeous and bright Kingman turquoise. The leaves are strung on a necklace of turquoise and coconut shell beads which not only perfectly complement the inclusions of the Kingman turquoise but helps to lighten the weight, making the necklace very comfortable to wear.The leaf motif is a nod toFreddie’s grandfather Leekya Deyuse was know for his unusual carving ofhuman figures, hands, feet and plant forms, especially leaves. The necklace measures about 26 1/2″ long. The leaves are balanced and gradually increase from about 1 1/4″ long by 3/4″ wide at the top to about 1 3/4″ long by 1 1/2″ wide at the center. The closure isofsterling silver in a shepard’s hook style.
