Adrian Cachini’s black marble Turtleis sgraffito treated. Sgraffito means to scratch in Italian. The striking two-tone effect decorates the carapace with a feather or rosette element accented with turquoise inlays. Perhaps a turtle’s shell represents a protective barrier symbolizing the ability to retreat and regroup when necessary, good animal medicine. The reptile’s sweet eyes are from turquoise inlays as well. Approximately 2″ long, 1 5/8″ wide and 3/8″ tall.
