Rickson Kallestewa’s alabaster Frogembraces an offering jar decorated with an incised raincloud and tadpole design. This sweet facedhealeris stylized with swirling curved lines. The incised details are darkened with pastes made from the dust of jet and pipestone for a rich brown color which compliments the soft brown alabaster. A representative of water and rain, frogs often sing their songs during rainstorms. This piece measures about 1 3/4″ long, 1 1/4″ wide by 1 1/4″ tall.
