“The Moment” is a nicely portable and original acrylic painting from Zuni Pueblo artist Anthony Gchachu’s Land Of The Shalako series. His work is inspired by New Mexico’s amazing forests and wildlife which he incorporates into his compositions saying their presence signifies and honors loved ones who were lost throughout the pandemic. Birds such as spirited magpies and an awesome hooked-beak Eagle follow a sacred Sha’lak’o as he journeys home to Zuni Pueblo. The painting itself is approximately 8″ by 8″, while the stretched canvas on wood frame measures about 9 1/2″ wide, 9 1/2″ high and 2″ deep. Signed and dated by the artist.
