At the young age of 16 years, Fabian Tsethlikai learned how to carve stone animals by watching his uncles Vernon, Ronnie and Reynold Lunasee. Now a seasoned artist, he carves from the heart stating: Each animal I make is because I feel a spiritual connection to the animal. I want people to enjoy my work, and I hope it brings them protection, healing, and guidance. His latest offering is a darling quail with high topknot sculpted from fossiliferous limestone to a dimension of approximately 1 5/8″ tall, 5/8″ wide and 1 1/2″ deep. Alert eyes are from turquoise inlays.
