“Twin Mountain” is an original acrylic painting from Anthony Gchachu’s Land Of The Shalako, Winter Solstice series. The hand-stretched canvas on wood frame, which measures a lovely 8″ tall, 8″ wide and 1 1/2″ deep depicts a blessed winter in which Shalako and a sweet fawn (Deer) companion make their way to Zuni Pueblo. An important religious katsina ceremony takes place once a year at Zuni in which Shalako makes an appearance. Anthony comes from a long line of Zuni potters but at a young age was drawn to acrylics.
